Heather Lea Hulsey, 22, pleaded no contest to vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated in connection with last year’s hit-and-run killing of forensic psychiatrist Dr. Ronald Shlensky. Hulsey hit Shlensky, her neighbor on Knapp Drive, last summer. Hulsey has a long history of serious alcohol-related problems. She faces a maximum sentence of nine years as opposed to a possible 16 years had the case gone to trial.
