Audience Choice Award Top Ten

A Rundown of What You Liked Best

Every year at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, The Santa Barbara Independent is proud to sponsor the Audience Choice Awards. This year was especially exciting for us, because there were more ballots than ever before and the race was closer than anyone could remember, coming down to literally the last couple hours before the award was presented by Indy arts editor Charles Donelan on Sunday night. (Special thanks to Darla and Brian for counting all those ballots throughout the week!)

By the end of the counting, Darius Goes West: The Roll of His Life was the winner. Who came in second, third, and so on? Here’s the Top Ten. darius.jpg 1) Darius Goes West: The Roll of His Life (pictured)

3) Yiddish Theater: A Love Story

4) Living With Lew

5) Swimming in Auschwitz

6) The Lives of Others
