Santa Barbara Newsroom Calls it Quits

After more than three months online, reporters at Santa Barbara Newsroom.com announced on 7/13 that they would no longer be reporting on the site. Funding issues and a need to prepare for the looming battle with their former employer, the Santa Barbara News-Press, were both cited as reasons the Web site is being shut down. The union campaign and trial will begin on 8/14 in Santa Barbara.
