MachineTalker, Inc. of Santa Barbara, developer of wireless sensors and tracking systems, has acquired Wideband Detection Technologies, Inc. in a stock transaction. Along with the company, MachineTalker acquires the rights to the GuardDog sensor developed at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. GuardDog is distinguished for its ability to monitor heavily cluttered environments such as dense urban areas, as well as indoor areas with concrete and metal obstacles, such as cargo container-filled warehouses.
