The Camino Real Marketplace in Goleta will host a sheriff’s substation, donated by the property owners along with $100,000 annually for five years for the hiring of a deputy to staff it. In light of the donation, the City Council is likely to approve the addition of a community resource deputy to act as a public liaison, though the resource deputy will not necessarily be posted at the substation.
