Gang Fight Errupts at Rusty’s Pizza


On 6/12 a gang fight broke out on the waterfront inside the Rusty’s Pizza at 15 East Cabrillo Blvd. Though witnesses reported people brandishing knives, no customers or employees were injured. Not long afterward, according to police, another-seemingly related-fight broke out at 200 Castillo Street. No arrests were made in either incident. Later, Cottage Hospital reported admitting a stab wound victim named Robert Joseph Martinez, 20. Martinez is a known gang member, and police believe his injuries were connected to the fight.
