Police Nab Suspected Embezzler

On 6/18 Santa Barbara police arrested Patrick Joseph Roche 33, for allegedly embezzling $324,000 from his former employer, Select Remedy, located at 3820 State St. Roche admitted embezzling $80,000 in April and was fired immediately afterward, according to police. After an investigation, it was discovered he allegedly took much more, funneling 38 checks into a dummy company account over a six-year period. He allegedly used the money for investments, gym memberships, and various types of entertainment.
