Every Week: Yoga Class


There’s nothing like yoga to tone the body and quiet the mind, and Santa Barbara is teeming with yoga classes for all skill levels, budgets, and schedules. Whether you prefer the park, the beach, the morning, or the evening, there’s a yoga class just waiting to stretch you into nirvana.

• Meditation and Yoga: A meditation session is followed by an easy-flow yoga class. Every Sunday, 8-9:30am. Goleta Valley Community Ctr., 5679 Hollister Ave. Free. Call 967-1237.

•Hatha Yoga: This general well-being class is open to all levels and fees are by donation. Every Sunday, 9:30am. Golden Tree Yoga, 608 Anacapa St. Call 259-9399.

• Yoga in the Park: Get fit in the outdoors while balancing strength and breathing. Every Monday-Thursday, 10am. Oak Park, 300 W. Alamar Ave. Free for the first month; by donation every class thereafter.

•Flow Yoga: Movement for a healthy mind, body, and spirit is the key with instructor with Kristen Hoye. Every Monday, noon. Jewish Community Ctr., 524 Chapala St. $10. Call 957-1115.
