The California Exposition and State Fair is searching for talented entertainers to perform at its annual celebration in Sacramento this summer. The State Fair runs from August 17 to September 3, 2007 and is looking for family-oriented performances. Past acts have included bands, dance troupes, and performance artists, both individuals and groups. Shows that showcase California’s culture and diversity are particularly encouraged, especially those that are captivating or do not require a permanent location. To apply, fill out a form or call 916-263-FAIR and send it by March 1, 2007 to receive primary consideration. However, while unadvisable, applications received after the deadline will be considered. As well, several talent shows and auditions occur before and after the fair, with further information online.
