Seven News-Press Writers Call it Quits

Seven Santa Barbara News-Press writers resigned in as many days, citing their distaste for the alleged “smear” and factually dubious article connecting former Executive Editor Jerry Roberts to a computer containing pornographic images. All three News-Press book reviewers - Lin Rolens, Susan Miles Gulbransen, and Fred Klein - resigned, along with Life section writer Judy Foreman, sports stringer Dan Shiells, news reporter Leana Orsua, and business writer Steve Bonser.
