Emergency Shelters in the Schools

When the next disaster strikes on the South Coast, residents have some new emergency shelter locations to choose from, according to the Red Cross. Seven local school campuses were recently identified by the Red Cross as possible shelters or staging areas. The would-be safe havens are Dos Pueblos, San Marcos, and Santa Barbara high schools, as well as Goleta Valley, La Colina, La Cumbre, and Santa Barbara junior highs.
