Highway 101 Closed Twice This Week

The southbound lanes of Highway 101 were closed twice this week. On 10/29, a Ventura County brush fire halted traffic from Santa Barbara for approximately 20 minutes during rush hour. Eventually, one lane was opened and commuters crawled south until firefighters quelled the two-acre blaze around 7 p.m. On 10/30, an overturned tractor trailer blocked lanes near Dos Pueblos Canyon Road, halting all southbound traffic until the wreck was cleared at 4:53 p.m
