Child-proofed: Holiday Happenings


For parents who want to hit those Thanksgiving sales but want the kiddies to have some fun on their break from school, check out the crafty all-day distractions provided by Arts Alive! Activities are appropriate for kids ages 5-13. Arts Alive! is located at 1 North Calle Cesar Ch¡vez, Suite 100. $50 per child, per day.

• Gobble Some Art! Spend all day making Thanksgiving decorations, like cornucopias, and those adorable hand-traced turkeys. The crafting starts at 9 a.m. and runs to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21.

• Celebrate the Holidays! Save yourself the trip to Hallmark and let the kids lend a hand. On Friday, November 23, the featured activity will be Christmas tree decorations and ornaments. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
