Responding to the ruthless wild fires currently raging throughout Southern California, the U.S. Forest Service officially closed the Los Padres National Forest on 10/23 in hopes of preventing further destruction of the wilderness. The closure, which will remain in effect until the extreme fire conditions abate, shuts off all public access to any recreational areas within forest boundaries.
