Jagged EDGE

The County Arts Commission is inviting Santa Barbara artists working in all mediums to submit their work for an upcoming contemporary art exhibit at the Channing Peake Gallery. Works should be relevant to, or a conceptual interpretation of the exhibit’s title, EDGE. Works can be submitted as digital files on PC/Mac-compatible disks, and files must be larger than 300dpi. Submissions can be sent c/o Ro Snell to Santa Barbara Arts Commission, PO Box 2369, Santa Barbara County Courthouse, S.B., 93120 by no later than Friday, May 30.

Stayin’ Alive!

This Friday, April 11, and Saturday, April 12, Arts Alive Multi-Art Center (1 N. Calle César Chávez) will host a two-day grand opening event for community members. On Friday at 7 p.m., the center will host an adults-only art reception, complete with food, wine, live music, fire-spinners, and much more. On Saturday, the center will hold an all-ages open house from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. with free art, yoga, and Kindermusik classes.
