Last weekend, dozens of whimsically minded merrymakers donned Santa suits and whirled through the streets of Santa Barbara spreading holiday cheer.
This was our hometown version of SantaCon 2008, a seasonal street theater movement taking place in cities all over the world in which revelers dress like Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus and cause hilarious havoc throughout town. Led by “Kris Kringle” Clay Bodine, who urges people to “do provocative foolish things as often as possible,” this year’s romp culminated with the annual ride on the carousel.
Indy videographer Lael Wageneck was there to catch all the action, so tune into SantaCon, and never think of Christmas the same.
