If your furry friend is feeling a little left out of the online social networking revolution, take heart: Zootoo.com is a new social-networking/opinion-sharing site that brings animal lovers together, much like Facebook or MySpace. The site has been featured on the Ellen DeGeneres show and, in celebration of its launch, is currently running a contest in which users can vote for their favorite local animal shelter, with the winning shelter receiving a renovation valued up to $1,000,000. It works like this: The more active a pet lover is on Zootoo.com, by sharing information on pet services and products and voicing their opinions on pet issues, the more points they’ll earn, and every point goes toward the user’s designated shelter.
