Creative Philanthropy

This Valentine’s Day, Solvang-based Web site thinkgiving.com is launching a video philanthropy contest; you can send a video thanking a person, charity, or organization for having a positive impact on your life. What better day than Valentine’s Day to show someone how much you love them by creating a thank-you video the whole world can see? You can make a cool documentary about your favorite after-school program, thank a teacher who gave you a helping hand, make a music video about how thankful you are for your mom, or create a public service announcement about a social cause that’s important to you. There are some great prizes to be won, but you don’t have to enter the contest to send a video thanking someone you love. Check out the Web site for contest details and more information. The contest ends April 7.
