    Hit-and-Run Convict Sentenced

    Heather Lea Hulsey, 21, was sentenced to six years and four months in state prison by Santa Barbara Superior Court Judge Frank Ochoa on 2/11 for the 2006 hit-and-run death of Montecito doctor Ronald Shlensky. Hulsey had pled no contest to manslaughter without gross negligence while driving under the influence. Hulsey left the scene of the collision, which occurred while Shlensky was walking his dog.
