Yahoo!Eddie Vedder, alternative rock icon and lead singer of Pearl Jam, just announced his short, seven city, April Fools solo tour that will take place during the first few weeks of April. Starting in Vancouver and making his way down to San Diego, Vedder will hit the Santa Barbara Arlington on Thursday, April 10 for a musical night of Oscar nominated talent and the deep and powerful vocals he is famous for. Some recent solo work includes (but is definitely not limited to) accompanying soundtracks for hit films such as Into the Wild and Body of War. New Zealand Singer/Songwriter Liam Finn will be opening the show.
A pair of prime Arlington seats, plus a two hotel room package will be auctioned off to raise money for the Echols Legal Defense Fund, an organization for the “West Memphis Three,” a group of three men who have been in prison for twelve years for a crime they allegedly never committed.
Tickets go on sale through Ticketmaster Friday, February 29 at 10 am for $68. Auctions begin Friday, February 22.
