The Amgen Tour of California bike race-the U.S.’s answer to the Tour de France-made its third annual stop in Santa Barbara with a rain-splattered time trial in Solvang on 2/22 and a 105-mile ride from Santa Barbara to Santa Clarita on 2/23. Santa Rosa native Levi Leipheimer took top honors in Solvang as well as his second consecutive overall crown, in all navigating the 700 miles in 29 hours, 24 minutes, and 32 seconds.
