Opera Santa Barbara Receives $5M Donation

Opera Santa Barbara announced an anonymous $5 million gift from one of the organization’s board members. The gift has been designated to be used in $250,000 increments to produce one opera per year by Rossini, Verdi, Puccini, Leoncavallo, Wagner, or Gounod. “We are thankful to this donor, who helps ensure the appearance of high quality productions of beloved operas well into the future,” said the opera’s General Director Steven Sharpe.
