Dantona Leaves Democratic Race

Jim Dantona bowed out of the Democratic race for the 19th Senatorial District seat on 1/7. Dantona, a political consultant, estimated that if he won the Democratic nomination, his campaign finances would be inadequate to compete in the race against Republican Tony Strickland. Hannah-Beth Jackson is now the only Democrat seeking the nomination. “This is going to be a tough race, and it would have been an uphill battle, even for me,” Dantona said.
