Los Banos Sewage Improvements Completed

With the completion of a project connecting Los Ba±os municipal swimming pool to the El Estero Treatment Facility, the pool’s water will no longer be emptied into the ocean, a practice out of compliance with the Federal Clean Water Act’s newer regulations. Also, water from backwashing the filters will no longer be discharged directly into the harbor. The City Council on 1/8 allocated another $25,000, for a total of $75,000, to finish the connection.
