    Gap Fire, July 4

On the 4th of July the Gap Fire began to push up towards the Haney Tract on West Camino Cielo and towards the Trout Club. Fortunately, the wind pushed back and with 100,000+ gallons of fire retardant the fire did not make it up to the homes. By Ray Ford

    Nick et al,

I must admit I used to loathe your ranting rag of a "newspaper." No need to explain why.

I now like it. You guys and gals have come a long way and I now see you as a worthy REPORTER of the news. Keep up the good work. Your newsprint has gone from fish wrap to Christmas wrap over the past year. Bully for you.
