MoveOn.org staged an hour-long rally for “an oil-free president,” specifically Democratic candidate Barack Obama, at the corner of Carrillo and Chapala Streets on July 9, starting at 5 p.m. The gathering of 30 or so people was one of 200 across the United States during rush hour, said area coordinator Lois Hamilton
