    The last time I saw Frank Louda was at Rincon not too long ago. It was a good day, great for June, with shoulder-high sets running through the river mouth for full-cove waves. Frank was sitting deep for the cove. A set wave came that I thought he was too deep on, but no; as I climbed into the race track section, I hear, “Hey, behind you.” Looking back as I kicked out, there was Frank, all smiles and flying down the line. I’ll always remember that smile forever. RIP Frank!!
