Signed into law by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on 7/8, State Senate Bill 1137 aims to offer relief to families who may lose their homes due to foreclosure. Among other provisions aimed to help the flailing real estate market, the bill aims to give property owners advance warning of potential foreclosure and gives the foreclosed-upon more time to move out of their house.
