Yahoo!An Air Quality Advisory was issued yesterday by the Santa Barbara County Public Health Department and the County Air Pollution Control District. The Indians Fire in the Northern part of the Los Padres National Forest—near Monterrey—and other fires burning in the northern part of the state have produced an amount of smoke thought to be hazardous to human health. People—especially those with heart and lung related health conditions—are cautioned to limit the amount of time spent outdoors, particularly with regards to physical activity. Anyone who smells smoke should be aware that it may cause a health risk. Those experiencing repeated coughing, shortness of breath, chest pain, or other cardio-respiratory problems should contact a healthcare provider.
