Carbon Sciences, Inc. of Santa Barbara announced that it has developed a patent-pending technology to convert CO2 gas into commercially useful products. The technology transforms the greenhouse gas into calcium carbonate, which the company said is inert, and safe for the environment, with virtually no storage problems and extensive commercial uses. Carbon Sciences claimed that it can dramatically reduce the amount of CO2 that coal-fired plants and other industries emit into the atmosphere.
