Recent rains are helping the native steelhead trout emigrate out of Mission Creek and back into the ocean, spotted here by Mark Capelli, a steelhead trout expert with the National Marine Fisheries Service. Along the way, the fish are building their “redds,” or nests, and hopefully spawning future generations of this endangered fish.
