Reporter Ethan Stewart, who lives on the lower Eastside, said his neighbors have evacuated but he has not. He says winds are now blowing uphill so it doesn’t seem like the fire is heading toward his part of downtown at least for the moment. Our call was interrupted by a call from Ray Ford, so we should be hearing from Ray soon, and he will probably be able to talk to fire officials.
