Roy Schmeck & the Schmeck-Tones

S/T

Very few Santa Barbarans realize that there is a world-class country music rock star in our midst. His name is Roy Schmeck, and with his lovely Schmeck-Tones, he’s currently releasing this self-titled debut CD, a honky-tonk romp that includes such catchy ditties as “Easy Love,” “Girl from Mountain Drive,” and “Johnny Auto.” See the guys do their thing-and premiere some home videos of Roy cavorting around the country with other superstars-when they play this Sunday, November 16, at Cold Spring Tavern (5995 Stagecoach Rd.). For more information, or a sampling of tunes, visit myspace.com/royschmeck.
