Helicopters Have Been Flying from Santa Barbara Junior High Dousing Flames

At least three helicopters were in constant rotation, landing at Santa Barbara Junior High to fill with water before taking off. There were helicopters from at least Santa Barbara and Los Angeles counties making trips. As soon as one would take off, another would land.

Dozens of people watched the spectacle from the fence line of the field.

Officials said this morning more than 10 helicopters were now fighting the blaze from the air, as well as a massive DC-10 plane.

Here is some video of the helicopters landing and taking off.
