Anyone who lost his or her belongings in the Tea Fire is welcome to come to Roosevelt Elementary’s Roughrider Giveaway. Over the past week, the school community has gathered an overwhelming amount of “gently used” clothes and shoes, suitcases, toiletries, stuffed animals, sleeping bags, cameras, work gloves and shoes to give to any and all affected by the Tea Fire. If you are unable to come yourself, you may send a friend to choose items for you and your family. Roosevelt is at 1990 Laguna St., and the cafeteria — stocked with donated goods — will be open Saturday, November 22, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Come by at anytime over the weekend, it's all out on the courtyard throughout this weekend (sat Nov 22 & Sun Nov 23). Everything will be taken by Alpha Thrift on Monday Nov 23.
