Collision on Calle Real

Two Pickup Trucks Collide Near Turnpike Road


At 1:31 this afternoon, the California Highway Patrol reported a head-on collision between two pickup trucks in the northbound lane of Calle Real near Turnpike Road. As of 2:30, two injured persons were reported trapped inside the vehicles, although the extent of the injuries was not known. A nurse and emergency personnel were on scene, and an occupant from one of the vehicles was slated for transport to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
