Sign Up for Paddle Competition


Riding waves in an outrigger canoe is like flying on the water. On Saturday, April 18, at 10 a.m., you and your coworkers can experience the thrill of gliding over the sea at the S.B. Outrigger Canoe Club’s 12th Annual Company Challenge canoe racing and team costume competition. Armed with a Hawaiian outrigger canoe, you and your mates will test your skills against other area companies and groups while racing for first place. Canoes, paddles, steersperson, and paddling instruction will be provided; no previous experience necessary. Awards will be given for 1st-4th place in co-ed, women, men, and keiki (children) categories as well as awards for best team costume. $125 per boat; $25 for an individual.
