    Los Olivos’s Wildling Art Museum currently is on the hunt for a new executive director. As of December 31, the museum’s longtime head, Elizabeth Knowles, will retire from her current post. Interested parties are encouraged to visit wildlingmuseum.org for a detailed summary of the position and its requirements. Applications and résumés can be mailed to PO Box 907, Los Olivos, CA 93441.

    CRITIC’S CHOICE

    This Monday, August 10, the Artists Guild of the Santa Ynez Valley will host James Armstrong for an art critique session. Valley artists are encouraged to bring three to four works to the Santa Ynez Valley Grange (2374 Alamo Pintado Ave.) starting at 2 p.m. Armstrong will then offer up critiques and one-on-one discussion to artists interested in advancing their craft.     This Saturday, August 8, head on over to Art From Scrap (302 E. Cota St.) for the opening of Thrice, a collection of works from Santa Barbara contemporary art staples Larry Mills, J.
