    THE SKY’S THE LIMIT

    The Sound and the Jury nationwide online battle of the bands is back for the third year and is now accepting entries. Bands interested in competing can upload their music at delllounge.com/soundandthejury. Five finalists will score $1,500 and a trip to Austin, and the grand prize winner will play the opening slot of 2010’s Austin City Limits festival.

    The Santa Barbara Contemporary Arts Forum is currently accepting applications for its annual Call for Entries exhibit. Artists from Santa Barbara, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo counties are encouraged to submit materials in person to 653 Paseo Nuevo.     STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN

    In thanks for their generous $500,000 donation to the Santa Barbara Bowl’s American Classic Campaign, resident philanthropists Judy and Jeff Henley will have the venue’s Grand Staircase renamed in their honor. The Henley’s gift will be put toward the Bowl’s ongoing renovation schedule
