Give a Little

• The Volunteers for Inter-Valley Animals (VIVA) needs volunteers to help keep their operations running. Volunteers are most needed to help feed animals, wash dishes and boxes, clean cages and kitty condos, and help with laundry, among other tasks. The organization is seeking workers who can volunteer for one day or one evening a week, for three hours at a time. Call Gwen at 735-6741 for more info.

• The Make-A-Wish Foundation of the tri-counties is asking individuals to donate frequent flier miles, which will be redeemed for tickets used solely for the purpose of sending terminally ill children and their families on an unforgettable vacation they will cherish for a lifetime. Each year, the foundation needs 12 million frequent flier miles but only receives 2 million in donations, and the remaining miles have to be purchased-making airline tickets a large but avoidable expense for the foundation. Call 676-9474 for more info.
