The height of federal budget season has meant more funding slated for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation to use for annual operations and maintenance projects at Lake Cachuma. Although no guidelines were specified in the $1.674 million funding bill, meetings among water district managers and the Cachuma Operations and Maintenance Board, which runs the reservoir, indicated that a number of projects-including another pipeline over the Santa Ynez Mountains-are being considered.
