Todd Prodanovich

SURF THE GLOBE: Catch Indy news intern Todd Prodanovich while you can. This Claremont native and global studies major at UCSB is nearing his departure date for a semester in Salvador, Brazil. Let’s hope the Portuguese he’ll soon be learning won’t damage his proficiency with English. The surf columnist for the Daily Nexus, Prodanovich has seawater in his blood. His dad, Robin, has shaped surfboards for nearly 40 years, and his grandfather, Jack, invented the speargun and even mocked up a model for The Spy Who Loved Me. “Everybody in my family has lived on the ocean,” he said. Follow Prodanovich’s work at independent.com/todprod.
