Skeleton Identified
George Snyder Jr. Went Missing Last April
Skeletal remains discovered in the Dos Pueblos Canyon area on July 22 were identified by Coroner’s detectives as those of George Snyder Jr.
Snyder was reported missing last April from his Ellwood Beach apartment. Though the Sheriff’s Department conducted an extensive two-week search, they were unable to locate the 57-year-old man last spring.
A ranch worker found the remains on a private ranch on the 200 block of Dos Pueblos Canyon Road. The identity was determined through dental records, and though nothing suspicious has been discovered during the investigation, the Coroner’s Bureau is working to eliminate the possibility of foul play.
