LIGHTNING STRIKES OUT
It was announced last week that the 2009 Lightning in a Bottle festival, originally scheduled for Memorial Day weekend, has been cancelled. Promoters site the lack of a location as the reason for the cancellation, and are currently fielding suggestions for the 2010 fest. Lightning in a Bottle has been held at the Live Oak Campground in Santa Ynez.
WHEN LIFE HANDS YOU LEMONS …
The Goleta Valley Chamber of Commerce has announced that they are accepting submissions from the community for this year’s Lemon Festival artwork. The winning submission will be featured on festival T-shirts, posters, and ads. Entries are due by Tuesday, March 31, at 5 p.m. Rules can be found online at goletavalleychamber.com.
