ONE BIG WRINKLE: The Independent‘s Sales and Marketing Coordinator Eliana Britton has recently found traveling problematic. Every few feet, people stop her so they can coo over her three-month-old English bulldog, Ruca. The offspring of a prize-winning showdog named Hummer, Rucawho takes her name from the Sublime song “Waiting for My Ruca” and whom Britton owns with her boyfriend, Nate Diazrevels in the attention. One request: If you happen across Ruca, it might be best if you ask permission to pet her rather than getting handsy. Cuteness incarnate though she may be, she’s teething. Besides, her owner might have somewhere she needs to be.
