FILLING THE VOID

In an effort to fill vacated commercial space throughout downtown, the Santa Barbara County Arts Commission and Downtown Organization will kick off their Storefront Gallery Project this Thursday, May 7. Temporary displays by regional artists will be popping up in vacant windows up and down State Street through October. Visit santabarbaradowntown.com for info.

City@Peace presents Suenos Sin Destinos at Center Stage Theater (751 Paseo Nuevo) on Thursday, May 7, through Saturday, May 9, at 7:30 p.m. The original musical drama, written and performed by Santa Barbara youth, follows the stories of several teenagers as they discuss their hopes and dreams for the future.
