If anyone (especially with pets) needs a place to stay and is willing to make a drive, my mom in Visalia, CA (about 3.5 hours from Santa Barbara) can take people. Pets must like cats (she has some cats), but she has a pet-safe yard, plenty of food, two extra bedrooms, and wants to help! Call Megan at (559) 679-4234.

Independent staff: if possible, I expect it'd be tremendously helpful to evacuees to know which of these places will take pets. Don't know if you have that information, but just a suggestion.

Hi, We have a fully furnished vacation rental home on the westside with 3 bedrooms 2 baths that is available until May 21st. It comfortably sleeps 6. Complete kitchen facilities. We also would accept 1 dog [no cats]. $150 per night for evacuees + $200 cleaning fee. You would need to sign a rental agreement and pay by credit card. Please call (808) 987-0771 or email geojlo@hawaii.rr.com.
