    Sephora to Donate Funds to Breast Cancer Causes; Evening of Food and Wine to Raise Money for BackPacks for Kids

    • This weekend, Sephora (701 Paseo Nuevo) is hosting Pink Parties, which will beautify Santa Barbarans and help raise funds for a great cause. On Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25, a portion of the proceeds from all 30-minute booked beauty consultations and purchases of Christian Dior cosmetics from noon-6 p.m. will be donated to programs for women with breast cancer. Call 962-5410.

    • This week, the Inn of the Spanish Gardens (915 Santa Barbara St.) will host the 2nd Annual BackPacks for Kids fundraiser, an evening of live music, silent auction, and wine and food. Proceeds will benefit the Foodbank of S.B.'s BackPacks for Kids program, which helps deliver nutritious food and fresh produce to needy S.B. children ages 5-12. The event will be held Wednesday, October 28, from 5-8 p.m. Tickets are $45. Call 564-4700.
