    Artists Converge at Ojai Spoken Word Literary Event

    Thursday, October 29, from 6-8 p.m., Central Coast prose and poetry writers will converge at this month’s Broken Word Happy Hour at all-organic restaurant and grocery store Farmer and the Cook (339 W. El Roblar Dr., Ojai). As you listen to this month’s featured performers—journalist Nancy Gross, Ojai poet Robert Peake, farmer Johnny Fonteyn, and Farmer and the Cook owner Steve Sprinkel—participants will enjoy organic, locally grown food and wine, and a festively designed venue that’s been decorated around a scary theme.
