Santa Barbara police are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect wanted for assaulting a resident of the 2100 block of Mountain Avenue on Friday.
According to a report from police spokesperson Lt. Paul McCaffrey, the resident noticed a man in her shed around 3:15 p.m. on September 11. She confronted the man, who then lunged at her, tearing part of her dress and slapping her, but ultimately losing his balance. According to the report, the woman then grabbed a hammer and hit him on the head. This prompted the suspect to take off running in the direction of Portesuello Road.
The report described the suspect as a white man, around 30 years old, with shoulder-length brown hair, a long beard, and a green jacket. He may have a noticeable head injury. Those with any information are urged to call the police at 897-2355.

"Hammer-Wielding Woman Fends of Attacker" what is wrong with this title?... And then again "This prompted the suspect to take of running in the direction of Portesuello Road." Spell check works only when the misspelled word is not a word. Does this new reporter actually read what they write?

She should've used the claw end of the hammer, more effective.
You guys hear of the college student in Baltimore, MD that killed the burglar w/ a samurai katana (sword)?

oh, shame- shame on you you mr. or ms. intheknow. once again you are so busy criticizing others that you forgot your pronoun rules: you write: "Does this new reporter actually read what they write?". i think you meant to say Does this new reporter actually read what he or she writes?
go back to bed intheknow - between the two grammar correcting posts you made today, its clear your handle should be IntoTheNo-no.

Thanks webadmin, I appreciate what you guys do, apparently "stayindy" is a lil hyper. I won't point out that "i" should be "I" in his post along with three other mistakes. It might just upset him more. Stay classy Santa Barbara!

I'll bet that stayindy did not capitalize that "I" just to get your goat, Mr. InTheKnow. I think his other little errors were intentional also, just to keep you on your toes. Maybe you were a ballet dancer in another life.
My spellcheck does not work in this type of posting, so I have to depend on editing my comments.

hey intheknow - i'm a chick - not a dude. i'm not hyper, and above all else, i'm not upset. i'm amused by your stupidity. by the way, it's been my experience that only people who lack refinement use the word "classy".
